Riptide Slash: Hitting enemies with the riptide status effect deals hydro AOE damage. Hold: Consumes stamina to deal hydro damage in a cross slash. Press: Performs up to six consecutive hits with a melee weapon. Foul Legacy: Raging Tide (Basic Ability) (Melee Stance). Plunging Attack: A shower of arrows rains down and deals hydro AOE damage. Riptide Burst: Defeating an enemy that has the riptide status will create a hydro burst and inflict Riptide on surrounding enemies. Riptide Flash: Fully-charged aimed shots that hit enemies affected by Riptide deals consecutive AOE DMG. This can also inflict hydro damage and inflict the Riptide status effect. Cutting Torrent (Basic Attack) (Ranged Stance). If you let the 30 second timer run out, the cooldown will be even longer. You can reset the Skill manually by pressing it a second time. There’s one very important thing to keep in mind when Tartaglia’s on the team though: the longer he stays in melee mode (after using the Elemental Skill), the longer the cooldown. It’s usually best to start with some ranged attacks (unless your Critical Rate is very high) to apply Riptide to your opponents, and then switch to melee for massive AOE Hydro damage. Note that his attacks change depending on his current stance, so you have a lot of different playstyle options. If you didn’t get him from the ‘Farewell of Snezhnaya’ Banner before, make sure you have your Primogems ready on October 13. You’ll therefore be happy to hear that Tartaglia is about to get a rerun Banner in Genshin Impact Version 2.2. Furthermore, as a member of the Support/Sub DPS-focused Hydro Element, he’s the only one of his Vision group able to fulfill the role of Main DPS. Known as either Childe or Tartaglia (or Tortilla, as his fans on the Genshin Impact forums like to call him), this Fatui good guy is still one of the best DPS characters in the game.
